TERMS AND RENTAL AGREEMENT FOR USE OF LEGION HALL

 The persons renting these facilities hereby agree to the following terms and responsibilities:

GENERAL INFORMATION:

     Decorations will be permitted but must be removed at the conclusion of the event.  All decorations must conform to all state and local fire codes. Decorations may not be fastened to any wall or ceilings with any fasteners (nails, tacks, etc)  that may mark or damage the surfaces. Tape that doesn’t leave any marks must be used. No tape on the floor. Only electric candles or candles enclosed in glass may be used. If confetti is used there is an additional cost. Check with the manager if you have questions. The rental party is responsible to pay for all damages to the building. 

     You may hire the caterer of your choice.  The caterer must provide a Certificate of Liability Insurance prior to the event. The caterer must remove all leftover food and trash. The caterer must clean the kitchen after use, to include the sink, countertops, stove, oven (if used), and the floor. The American Legion Post 69 will provide any cleaning items it deems necessary to satisfy the needs of the caterer or those of the party renting the facility to be able to clean up.   All beer, wine, seltzers, soda, and bottled water must be purchased from the Legion with all events. The Mayville American Legion Post No. 69 is a licensed alcohol facility.  All guests must be 21 years of age to consume alcohol. We will card anyone appearing under 30 years of age. We are not responsible for individuals serving minors. We reserve the right to evaluate and refuse to serve individuals who appear to be intoxicated. If any individual becomes disruptive, they will be asked to leave.   We will do our best to monitor all situations. However, any individual leaving the premises under the influence will not be the responsibility of any of our bartenders or the Mayville American Legion. Per the City of Mayville,WI., no person shall possess any open alcohol beverage container or consume any alcohol beverage in or upon any public property or public parking lot. No person who has purchased alcohol beverages in an open container from any licensed premises shall consume said beverages outside of the property.  If an individual has vomited on the floor inside the Legion building, that individual will be charged $75.00 to have our staff clean up after this person.

 The Mayville American Legion Post No. 69 and its members or employees shall not be responsible for any loss or damage to any personal property occurring as a result of activities on Legion property.  There is no smoking inside the Legion building.

SECURITY DEPOSIT:

 The security deposit is equal to the cost of the hall rental. The deposit will be due at the time of the booking. All checks and money will be deposited the next business day.  The security deposit will be deducted from the total cost due for the rental of hall at the end of event or returned depending on the condition the facility is left in.  The renting party will be responsible for any damages to the facility or the furnishings.  A general clean-up (sweep, mop if necessary, wipe off tables and counter tops, put tables and chairs back in place, throw out garbage in correct bins) is to be done by the party renting the facility.  If cleaning has to be done by Legion representatives, there will be a cost of $20.00 per hour if it takes longer than an hour to clean the building. If the rental party chooses not to clean up, (it takes at least 3 hours to clean the hall properly), they will be charged for the cleaning.  There will be an additional cost of $100.00 if Confetti has been used and this has to be cleaned up by the Legion. The cost of this clean-up will be taken out of the security deposit. If the hall is re-rented after a cancellation the security deposit will be fully refunded to the rental party.

PAYMENT TERMS:

50% of the rental fee is due at the time of the booking. The balance of the rental fee, the beverage charges, and any other fees must be paid within 60 days of the event.  If the reservation is cancelled within 60 days or less of the event, the rental party will lose the security deposit, if the hall is not rented out for this rental date.

Plastic cups will be used for rentals.  If glass is used for the parties there will be a 15% gratuity added to the bill. 

                                                                                                                                                    

WEDDING and/or RECEPTION RENTAL

Security Deposit is $350.00.  Rental cost for the hall and back bar all day is $750.00. This includes 2 bartenders for 10 hours each, set-up of tables in the hall. If a bartender is needed for more than 10 hours, an hourly rate will added to the rental cost. ($20.00/hr) There is 15% gratuity on the bar tab.

Rental party must purchase ahead the water bottles and soda from the Legion. No Alcohol is allowed to be brought in.  If open alcohol is found in the building during the event, the rental party will be asked to pay a $300.00 fine and/or shut down the party. The rental party is allowed to take the beverages that they purchased.

EVENT REMINDER: 

CLEAN UP:

 

If cleaning has to be done by Legion representatives, there will be a cost of $20.00 per hour if it takes longer than an hour to clean the building. If the rental party chooses not to clean up, (it takes at least 3-4 hours to clean the hall properly). This could be up to an additional $80.00 charge.

There will be an additional cost of $100.00 if Confetti has been used and this has to be cleaned up by the Legion representatives.

The cost of this clean-up will be taken out of the security deposit.
